TREND ALERT: Knitwear

The 70's inspired fashion is coming back in style, and one of the biggest trends that was fashionable back in the 70's and will make a comeback in 2011 is the Knitwear and Crochets. Since it is a bit cold outside you can sport the trend earlier.

I love sweaters & it is considered trendy if you wear them ! You can wear quirky sweaters with leather skinny jeans and accessorize it with an oversized bag and some mismatched bags and for shoes you can wear flats or even pumps. If you wanted to wear a simple sweater you can get a neutral color and wear it with skinny jeans and add a scarf over that a bold colored messenger bag and flats with the same color as the bag. If you wanted to go for a bold colored sweater you can wear it with ripped skinny jeans and some TOMS or flats and a messenger bag also add some long necklaces :). You would look good !! The secret is not to look overdressed you are supposed to look casual in knitwear.
Personally, I love knitwear :) and when I knew it is going to make a comeback I was excited I would look trendy wearing sweaters :)

What to wear with a Leather Jacket???

I love the leather jacket because of the fact it can be worn with any outfit anytime. You can also find it in any store like H&M or D&G. I would wear the leather jacket with anything I have that is simple or needs a little bit of glamour or the "edgy" vibe. My favorite look of the leather jacket on me is the "dressy" look which is wearing a feather skirt for example it is black and navy I tuck in a sleeveless black shirt and wear the leather jacket over (afcourse not to forget a beautiful oversized clutch, some statement rings, and bracelets).
There also many looks than this look I described for you a lot of celebreties I have seen have worn it the casual way like with a ripped skinny jeans, a simple tank top, and combat boots. I am not a big fan of combat boots with leather jackets it looks too "rocker-ish" or "punk-ish" for me, but some celebs have worn it that way !
I have seen some celebs wear the leather jackets in a really cute chic way like Nicole Richie here.



I love how Nicole paired it up with a Maxi dress and wore a leather oversized bag to balance the look PLUS it is a very cute look for summer! You can also pair the leather jacket with a jumpsuit that is another trendy look for summer ! If you want to look rocker-ish or punk-ish you can wear it with a plain solid tank top and ripped skinny jeans with strappy heels.

Since it is still winter you can wear a leather jacket before it is an officially a trend in spring and summer. You can wear it over a dress shirt tucked into skinny jeans and maybe a faux fur vest over the leather jacket and ankle booties (The Jeffrey Campbell ones would look great !)

Overall, a leather jacket is an item where you can pair it up with anything, and you should wear it however you like. Anyways, I hope you had an idea of how to wear a leather jacket and liked what I suggested ! :)

TREND ALERT: Biker/Punk Leather Jackets

The leather Biker/Punk Jacket is going to be a trend for this season since one of the latest trends for Spring and Summer 2011 are the punk and biker style. I love this jacket even more than a blazer !! You can put it on day or night over jeans or a fancy dress !

I am loving TOMS!!

I personally love TOMS idea of when buying a pair of shoes you would donate one to a child in need, but honestly TOMS aren't fashionable. So, How can you wear them?
Well my rule number 1 (and only rule!)
I never wear something too fashion forward or too dressy and pair it up with TOMS because that looks a bit retarted. TOMS is made for comfort and good cause so you have to wear it with something comfortable.
