Inspirational

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” - Coco Chanel

TREND ALERT: The Preppy Look

Okay, I am sorry, I am sorry, I am sorry for my lack of posting and my boring posts. But it was the first two weeks of school, and I was very busy. So...
Anyways, you know it is London Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week and it was NY Fashion Week. And while I was looking through the collections of my favorite designers, I've seen the preppy look coming in style for Spring (You can always sport it earlier). Yes, the knit vests, loafers, plaid, and sweaters! But this time it's more modern, and there is more VA VA VA VOOM to it. (Yes, I said that)
I've seen it on Jason Wu, Moschino, and other designers.

I recently saw a video of tips on how to pull of a Preppy Look, take a look at it!

Fendi Spring 2012 Ready-To-Wear

Fendi, Fendi, Fendi....
I wasn't so impressed with this collection, but I found some looks which I'd like to sport it this Spring. There was masculine-feminine looks, box-pleat skirts, A-line jackets, and a navy coat.

DVF was one of my most favorite runway shows from NYF. DVF showed us very feminine clothes that would flatter a womans' body. I could see the White color coming back to style, the prints, the retro feeling, the preppy look, and the colour blocking are the trendiest thing for Spring!! I loved the colour blocking the most, the yellow with the light blue, and the mint green with light pink just excites me!!

Kim Kardashian and her conservative style

Hmmm, It looks like Kim had a big Fashion makeover (in a good way) after she got married. She started wearing more conservative dresses that doesn't show her ehhmss. I mean I first saw her in this nude just above the knee dress.

The nude dress is so Kate Middleton, maybe Kim got some fashion tips from her.

Then I saw her wearing beautiful blue dress, that was conservative for her taste. I mean remember her with the very very low V cuts? or The very tight Herve Leger dresses?

I really like her new "style", what about you?

New York Fashion week has begun! - Christian Siriano Spring 2012

It is been a couple of days since New York Fashion Week has begun. One of my favorite designers; Christian Siriano has marked his second season. Siriano mentioned his inspiration was Katherine Hepburn. His collection was glamorous in simple shapes like T-shirts, Palazzo pants, and bias skirts! Maybe, the collection wasn't as fierce as the previous collections, but Christiano still blew my mind!

Check out my favorites!

In his collection, I noticed the colour blocking trend in softer colours. There was Yellow and Orage hues, striped shirts, and crisp white shirts! Let's not forget the maxi skirts and the palazzo pants! It looks like all of that will be in for this Spring!
